Adi Nissani

Meet

Based in Jaffa, Adi is a ceramicist and designer whose work bridges the past and present, drawing inspiration from nature’s simplicity and ancient cultures while embracing modern minimalism. Each piece she creates—whether a delicately sculpted bowl or an elegantly glazed plate—is a testament to her belief that the objects we use daily should be both functional and deeply personal.

Adi’s journey into ceramics is shaped by a love for craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for the art of gathering. With a background in the culinary world and a Master’s in Art & Design, she understands that the way we present and share food is just as meaningful as the meal itself. This philosophy is woven into every collection she creates—versatile, timeless, and designed to be mixed and matched effortlessly.

Her process is rooted in the raw beauty of her materials. She works with three distinct clays: her signature “speckled curry” stoneware, textured with basalt grains for an earthy, rustic feel; fine French porcelain, offering a smooth and luminous finish; and tinted stoneware in soft pink, sage, and deep black. Every piece is hand-altered, fired at 1,230°C for durability, and finished in her signature glazes—each variation a reflection of the ever-changing nature of the craft.

Since launching her studio in 2012, Adi has remained dedicated to slow living and intentional design, creating pieces meant to be cherished through years of meals, stories, and rituals. In challenging times, her work serves as a quiet refuge, a reminder of resilience and light.

More than ever, her ceramics stand as symbols of endurance—handmade objects that carry meaning, comfort, and the promise of better days ahead.

Adi is the hands and heart behind a world of handcrafted beauty

"Inspiration comes from life all around us, from light and resilience, a quiet reminder that beauty often blooms in the darkest spaces"
