Shira Keret

Meet

Meet Ceremonials by Shira Keret, a design-driven exploration of Jewish ritual, history, and identity through contemporary Judaica. Rooted in Israel and informed by culture, craft, and tradition, Shira's work bridges ancient symbolism with modern form.

A product designer, lecturer, and independent curator, Shira graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in 2010 and is the winner of the 2017 Ministry of Culture and Sports Design Award. Through her practice and as a co-founder of a boutique design studio, she delves into form and material research, creating meaningful objects in small series.

Ceremonials was born from Shira’s personal journey to reconnect with her Jewish heritage—researching rituals, unearthing generational stories, and responding to local craft techniques and material culture.

Her work has been exhibited globally, from Tokyo to London to the Holon Design Museum in Israel, and continues to evolve in the face of personal and collective transformation.
Since the start of the war, the studio became a space of stillness and reflection. Amid uncertainty, crafting ritual objects became an anchor—offering continuity, meaning, and quiet resistance.

Ceremonials is more than a design project; it’s a spiritual and cultural dialogue between past and present.

Shira Keret reimagines Jewish ritual with small-batch objects that blend archaeology, craft, faith, and personal resilience.

"The process became slower, more reflective, and more intentional—a way of holding on to continuity in the midst of chaos."
