Zo Flamenbaum
Meet
As a writer, spoken word artist and the founder of School of Shine, Zo has led workshops, events, and transformative experiences that inspire women to live, create, and lead boldly.
In 2024, Zo took a bold step of her own by publishing her first book, Where the Wild Woman Grows. More than a poetry collection, it’s a raw, lyrical exploration of self-discovery, inviting women to embrace every part of their wild journey. The book took five years to complete—a labor of love, growth, and resilience.
After the war silenced her creativity, Zo took three months of stillness and healing before reconnecting with her craft. “In times of grave destruction, our work is to create,” she says. Following this realization, Zo began transforming her poetry into wall art, a natural next step for a woman who dreamed of seeing her words on people’s walls.
Fueled by the rawest parts of life—pain, love, anger, and desire—Zo’s work in poetry, spoken word, and visual art brings those emotions to life in tangible, beautiful forms. Now, she embraces her full artist self, owning her voice unapologetically and continuing to inspire others to do the same.
Zo Flamenbaum is a writer, spoken word artist, and creative.
"I believe this is the medicine of our time - in times of grave destruction, our work is to create. This is the purpose. This is why we're here. Expression in all forms is our medicine"
