Meet Shany Herzberg, who launched SIGMA in 2018 after studying industrial design at the Holon Institute of Technology. Driven by a passion and curiosity for unconventional shapes and handmade craftsmanship, Shany’s SIGMA blends uniquely industrial design with goldsmithing to offer a minimalist yet edgy aesthetic to her jewelry.
“Just as we all have layers — softness, strength, courage, femininity, and power — I aim to balance these elements in my designs,” Shany shared. “My goal is to create pieces that are both comfortable and distinctive, helping you express your personal style with confidence."
Immediately after October 7, Shany put her business on hold in order to focus all of her efforts on volunteering at the hotels in the Dead Sea, the temporary home to many displaced Israelis from the Gaza Envelope. Shany had just returned from spending a few months abroad and felt the war re-rooted her in her native Israel.
Two months into her volunteering, Shany was inspired to create the Heritage Collection, jewelry she views as a creative expression of her connection to her Judaism. “It hasn’t been an easy time... but working with my hands saves me, gives me back meaning and brings me a lot of satisfaction when I see how people enjoy and connect with my work.”
