Dalia Finestein
Meet
When Dalia Finestein moved to Israel in 2020, she never imagined that a hobby she started while learning Hebrew would grow into a thriving business. Born and raised in Manchester, U.K., Dalia’s entrepreneurial spirit quickly took hold. What began as a creative outlet soon turned into a full-time venture when her classmates began asking to purchase her pieces. Local design stores soon followed suit, and Made by Dalia was born.
Dalia’s eco-friendly home decor and Judaica pieces come to life using materials like seashells and marble, all handcrafted with care. From creating silicone molds to shaping each item by hand, Dalia’s work reflects a deep respect for the environment and the craft itself.
Shortly after October 7, Dalia felt a profound shift in her approach. “People’s needs were changing,” she shared. “They were looking for more than just beautiful items; they wanted something that spoke to their desire for connection, tradition, and resilience.” In response, she began creating contemporary Judaica, such as Shabbat candle holders, designed not only to embody these values but to offer a sense of hope and light during dark times.
“The war made me realize how much we all need to lean into our Jewish identity,” Dalia reflected. “It’s been inspiring to witness the strength and solidarity of Jews in Israel and around the world.”
