The Israeli Children's Fund
Meet
The Israeli Children's Fund (ICF) - Atufim Beahava was established shortly after October 7 by Israeli tech and business leaders to provide vital support to children who lost one or both parents in the wake of October 7. While hundreds of children were orphaned during and after that tragic day, ICF specifically assists those whose parents were civilians or members of the emergency response teams.
ICF supports 477 orphans, ranging from infancy to young adulthood (ages 0–25). This number is still evolving, as some children are awaiting the return of their fathers who are being held hostage in Gaza. These orphans have endured unimaginable loss and trauma—many witnessed the horrors of October 7 firsthand, losing not only their parents but also friends, relatives, homes, and even their communities.
In addition to financial support, the organization serves as a coordinating body, offering access to information about rights and opportunities, as well as guidance and counseling at key decision-making points.
ICF supports dozens of activities through the Strength & Resilience Grant including:
-Therapeutic field riding
-Family experiences including travel
-Cooking classes
-Emotional therapy
-Therapeutic and growth retreats
-Art Therapy
-Swim therapy
-Psychological therapy
While nothing can replace their lost loved ones, ICF's mission is to provide a comprehensive financial and professional support system, helping these children rebuild their lives with resilience, stability, and hope for the future.
The ICF strives to provide every child with a financial support system for significant life events, formal and informal education, rehabilitation, and resilience-building.
