Etay Malka
Meet
Born in the northern Israeli city of Ma'alot, Etay’s journey in design began in 2011 at Shenkar College, where he studied jewelry design. After an internship at a jewelry factory in Bangkok, he launched his own business in 2015, crafting handmade silver and gold pieces from his home studio in Tel Aviv.
Inspired by Bauhaus architecture, furniture design, minimalism, and geometric shapes, Etay’s work reflects his deep love for aesthetics. His creations include the mezuzahs for Rambam Hospital’s Ruth Rappaport Children’s Building and the Eyal Ofer Discovery Tower, each piece crafted with meticulous care.
While Etay has always designed traditional ‘Chai’ pendants reimagined in a totally new form, the current war pushed him to expand his collection, creating new pieces such as Star of David necklaces and simpler, handmade mezuzahs for homes.
Etay’s art is more than design; its resilience in tangible form, bringing timeless Jewish symbols into modern homes worldwide.
Etay is a Judaica designer blending modern minimalism with tradition
“Creating keeps me grounded and active. Even in the darkest days, we must keep going. The war fuels my drive to do more, to create, and not to sit idle”
